Time Extension Type
The time remaining on the status ailment will be extended when the status is inflicted again while currently already active on the target.
It is harder to inflict a Time Extension status ailment for a fixed period of time after one is initially applied.
*Buffs which enhance attributes are not harder to apply when they are the same effect.

Absorb Status Effect | Release certain status effect(buff) and grant it to the character itself. If the dispel fails because it is resisted, the effects will not be applied. The number of stacks and the remaining duration of absorbed effects will carry over from the time they were dispelled. Since Block provides temporary resistance, even if the dispel succeeds while Block's temporary resistance is in effect, any absorbed status effects will not be applied. Refer to the skill descriptions of characters that can absorb status effects for a list of buffs that can be dispelled. |

Status Effect Display
During Quests, there are some opponents that are difficult to inflict damage upon, as well as those that are immune to status effects.
Likewise, during certain Quests and other in-game content, you can see how easy it is to inflict status effects and how much damage they do.
You can confirm this by pressing the "i" icon on the "Enemy Info" screen.
